The Canadian duo from Ottawa, formed by Jayem and Ricky 100, delivers perhaps their rawest and most emotional track to date, relying on lo-fi textures and dirty guitars that evoke the spirit of the ’90s indie. The influence of artists like Blur, Pavement, and The Strokes is evident, but the band’s authenticity ensures nothing sounds imitative.
The production, by Jayem himself, embraces the imperfect as an aesthetic.
